THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

Thank You!!!
I listen to you for hours, I’ll listen all day
Just keep hitting me the right way
Sing your song in the shower
Cause you got a way
To say what I can never say right, right on
When I feel weak you make me feel strong
Make me feel strong
I won’t say your name
But you know who you are
I’ll never be the same again now, no way
I just want to say
Thank you for playing the way you play
You don’t get played on the radio
That’s not the game you play
Well I don’t care anyway
I glued your tape in the stereo
So I know every word, every note
And every chord is right, right on
When I feel weak you make me feel strong
Make me feel strong feel like nothing’s wrong
I won’t say your name
You know who you are
I’ll never be the same again now, no way
I just want to say thank you for playing the
Way you play
Did you know you’re why I go
And waste my time
At a rock and roll show
You let me know I’m not alone
You make me feel strong, make me feel strong,
Feel like nothing’s wrong
I won’t say your name, you know who you are
I’ll never be the same again now, no way
I just want to say
Thank you for playing the way you play
Thank you for playing the way you play
Thank you for playing the way you play

As a result of our last entry, we feel like to develop a very and important post, perhaps the most important one. This post should be recall time to time.

We just want to thank (wait!!! I’m sorry but this is not a farewell at all). To say “thank you” is something almost forgotten in these driving days, it’s easy and it shows a big gratitude and at the same time, it pushes up to the one who listen to it.

We want to thank all those bands that in one way or another have made us day after day, going to work, more bearable. They have been part of our sorrows and joys for so many years. If I look back, any song is linked to moments of my life and when I listen to that song it brings me back to that moment for a second.

We encourage everyone to take out the old guitar that it’s sitting in the basement for the last twenty years and learn three chords. Try to play your favourite song and why not, be brave and write a song for you, It doesn’t need to be a hit, there is nothing more rewarding and if it sounds bad, it is not relevant, nobody play as a genius the first time he grabbed a guitar, others (like me) we are trying to play for more than twenty years and we sound like a fart, but it fills us up.

From here we want to thank all groups, gigs promoters, fanzines, labels, distributors and people in general who attend the concerts. They make possible that this shit called music is alive and something worthwhile. Huge thanks to all those ones who lose money organizing gigs and releasing records, they are who make possible our particular soundtrack.

I cannot find a better song to express my gratitude to all of them. This Descendents’ song is just perfect.

Check out Descendents’ website and you will know what “Thank you” is about. But when you listen to one song, you made it part of you somehow and for me, it is what I have written above.

Q: What band is the song “Thank You” about?

A: It’s about a lot of bands. Any band that inspires, really. Karl wrote it and used to yell out different band names when they would play “Thank You.” A few of the bands names mentioned were The Last, X, and Black Flag among others.
